WHY RED IS THE ULTIMATE COMEBACK COLOUR

We’ve all been there, the day when you know you’ll see someone who internally you wished to never see again, or when you have one of the biggest opportunities of your life and it seems as though the nerves in your hands won’t stop running wild, or maybe you just have an important day ahead, and god knows you wanna look boss ass.

Somehow our eyes seem to turn to the red coat, the red lipstick, those stunning red boots, the red blouse which makes you instantly feel as though you could take on the whole world if you needed to. The colour red which runs confidence as steadily through our veins as blood flows to the heart, theres just something about it. No matter whether 1pm or 1am and no matter whether summer or winter. Red has stolen our hearts… and we’re not incredibly mad about it.

So what is it about the colour that inspires such instant admiration, why is it that when we feel like crying on the bedroom floor but we need to be ready in fifteen minutes red is the colour which yells “choose me! I’ll make you look put together even if you’re not”. It could be this, but it could also be the increasing number of role models that we see wearing it.

From the time that we were five, we have seen that red is the colour that strong women of the world wear. Women who stand up for their rights, and for the basic rights of others, women who show those who try to make them bend that they will stand as tall and proud as a lioness protecting her cubs, aggressively willing to fight for everything that she wants, and more importantly , what women deserve!

Despite this post, and the beauty and elegance of the colour. The truth is, you don’t need red to earn your stripes. You don’t need anything to make you strong, the illusion of red is not what pushes you to own your life, that came from within you. And that power which burns in your eyes can only grow! Whether you wear red or not, as a women, you are strong. You are powerful. You are boss.
